Sven Davison helped to launch the DVD Production and Content Group for Twentieth Century Fox. He then spent ten years managing the department where he was responsible for all special features on DVD, Blu-ray™, UMD, iTunes, and flash media. Sven played an integral role in Fox’s contribution to the BD spec, and was part of vetting all home entertainment platform initiatives. Prior to Fox, Sven spent five years at Paramount working in the Theatrical Marketing EPK group. Sven Davison graduated NYU film school with a BFA in film production. Sven is also a produced screenwriter and author of the award winning "God Head" Trilogy as well as other novels.
As Chief Digital Media Officer for the Java Development Group at Oracle, Bill leads Oracle's efforts to craft interactive television global standards and adoption by working with movie studios and other content providers, cable and satellite operators, broadcasters, device manufacturers, governments, and standards bodies worldwide to envision, architect, implement, and deploy next-generation digital TV technologies. Upon joining Sun Microsystems (since acquired by Oracle) in 1997 he launched Sun's Java-based digital television efforts, which have resulted in the deployment of Oracle's Java-based TV technology in nearly 100M devices. Bill, a frequent presenter at CES, NAB, Digital Hollywood, and other industry conferences, is a Director of the Blu-ray Disc Association, has represented Sun at standards bodies including DVB and ATSC, and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Bill, an accomplished trombonist, holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University.
David Handelman is Jargon's legal counsel and advisor on on all legal matters. His expertise is in corporate matters and complex transactions spanning digital media, broadcasting, entertainment, Internet, etc. His practice includes corporate acquisitions and financing, mergers and the formation of joint-ventures. He is also experienced in intellectual property matters and foreign trade. Previously he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Fox Incorporated from 1974 to 1994. He serves on board of directors of the Los Angeles Police Department Memorial Foundation and the KCRW Foundation.
